- 1.The Istana Budaya or The Palace of Culture, founded in September 1999
- 2.It is Malaysia's main venue for all types of theatre including musical theater, operetta, classical concert and opera from local and international performances.
- 3.It is located next to the National Art Gallery in Jalan Tun Razak
- 4.Istana Budaya is aimed to raise the standard of the performing arts. Until today, although not often, the Istana Budaya has staged notable productions of such operas as The Merry Widow, Tosca, La Bohe
- 5.Among the most successful local productions staged here was Puteri Gunung Ledang-The Musical, which opened to full house on almost all nights.
