Light

Energy saving light bulbs don’t consume, as the name suggest, as much energy as normal lamps. By using energy saving lamps it is possible to save up to 93€ towards normal lamps per light bulb. Turning off the light when leaving the room also saves energy, money and the environment.

Turning Electric Devices Off

Some electronic devices consume electric power while they are in a standby mode. You can stop this parasitic draw by using a connector strip with a real power off switch. The appliance now doesn’t get any electric power. In 2004, each household’s devices in standby mode consumed about 360 kWh, representing about 42 kg.

Heating

Lowering the room temperature onto 20°C - 22°C in the living room and 15°C in the bedroom, corridor etc. helps to save energy. Isolating the house keeps the warmth inside the house and saves energy. Closing the doors as well as right airing the rooms make a contribution to save energy.
