The Origins of the Salar People

The Salar people pass these stories on from one generation to the next. These ancient stories bring color to the Salar history. These stories give scholars a good starting point for researching the history of the Salar culture. We can summarize it as below.
1. Based on the research by international and national linguists, there has been found a large difference between Salar and Chinese and Tibetan languages in regards to pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. There are many common characteristics to the Turkic languages of Central Asia. Salar can carry on basic conversations with Turks, Uzbeks, and other Central Asian peoples. Linguists categorize the Salar language as a Turkic language and consider it to be in the Altaic language group, Orguz type. Salar people live very far away from these other nationalities. It is difficult to understand how there could be so many similarities in their languages
