History of Hui people’s business
The first business of Hui people was from Tang dynasty. They entered China from the “Silk Road” on the land and the “Condiment Road” on the ocean. The main business areas of the ancestors of Hui people who were from Arab and Persia were Guangzhou, Yangzhou, Quanzhou etc. Those people had very tuff days to do business and took big risks on these two roads. Meanwhile they were bridge for the communication between China and the west, between the west area of China and the centre part of China. They also made the towns prosper and formed a new view in China.
My impressions
A few days ago, I was one of the team members to make Think.com. I learnt a lot knowledge about Hui people’s life. We also interviewed lots of people including Mr He. We also collected some materials about the Dongguan mosque. It was much smaller and quite shabby before. But now it’s big and nice. Many Hui people go there on every Friday.
Hui people are very warm-hearted. My best friend is Hui. He always take me to many interesting places and also lend me some disks of Japanese cartoon films. Hui people usually have lots of relatives. He already has three nephews.
I am very interested in Hui people’s life now. If there is another opportunity, I’d love to research their religion and history!
