About the Hui clothes
Introduction
I am very happy to be elected as a reporter. My project is to research Hui clothes. I do feel the big difference of their life from the single match to colorful development after this research. Meanwhile, I also think I am having a very happy life.
First of all, I collected some materials on the internet, then went to the government office with my teacher to get more information. I also visited some families of my classmates. I got lots of information from them. You can also tell the difference of the change of their life. Check the pictures I took, please!
Introduction of Hui clothes
The main part of Hui clothes is on head. Men love to wear a white hat. There are two kinds of it, one is the top-flat, another is hexagon. Some people even sew nice pictures on their hats. Hui women always wear scarves. Scarf for old woman is white, for married woman is black and for youth is green. Some of married women also like to wear white or black hats too. About clothes, Aged men like to put the white shirts on and wear black vests outside of shirts. Aged old women like to wear black or brown scarves, white scarves are for the summer. Young women wears red , green, or blue scarves in winters and thin red, green or yellow in summer. Hui women who live in towns also like to wear shoes with flowers on and wear earings.
Function of Hui clothes
There are many functions of Hui clothes. (1): To protect bodies. This is the needs to work , live and survive.(2): For decoration. Everyone loves the beautiful things. So do the Hui people. Such as : wearing Shirt, wearing vest , dying nails etc.(3): For religion. Those are all the characteristics of Hui clothes.
There is a big difference for man clothes and woman clothes. And according the different ages, also have child clothes, aged clothes and youth clothes. Woman clothes also have different style for unmarried ladies, married ladies and married old ladies. According to the different areas and seasons, there are some different clothes too.
Clothes culture of Hui people
Hui clothing which is a treasure with long history is a special culture phenomenon for Hui people. It exerts a subtle influence on times , areas and other nations’ characters. But it is basically influenced by Islamic culture. We may know the develop of Hui history according to the change of their clothes. To research Hui clothes, we not only study their clothes, scarf etc, but also from their shoes, wearing things, weddings, funerals and clothes of drama players and school unite of students so that enrich contents of the study for Hui clothes. The reasons for having different minority clothes are not only because of the effect of the environment and revolution but also because they have their own way to explain the beauty.
