What can we do?

Poverty is affecting the world, especially Africa. The lack of food produces hunger and malnutrition. This is a reality that is lived day a day by the children and all the people that live in Africa. We need to help this people that suffers and that need help. They are dying and the mortality rate is increasing
There are programs that exist and help this reality lived in Africa, Some examples of them are:
A- United Nation World Food Program (WPF)
This program is the United Nations agency witch is in charge of the fight against the human world hunger.
The food assistance of this organization reaches almost 100 million people in 80 countries every year. Twelve thousand people work in this organization providing food to the needed people, especially to the people that live in places were it is difficult to communicate.
WFP’s five objective are:
1. “Save lives and protect livelihoods in emergencies “
2. “Prepare for emergencies”
3. “Restore and rebuild lives after emergencies”
4. “Reduce chronic hunger and under nutrition everywhere”
5. “Strengthen the capacity of countries to reduce hunger “

LG First Asian Company to Support UNWFP Fight Hunger in Africa
- LG Electronics is the first company in Asia that made a multi-year partnership with The United Nation World Food Program (WFP) for ending hunger and poverty in Africa. They donated under a “partnership of hope” one billion corean won per year. This money will help about 23000 of the people who are most desperate needs of Kenya and Ethiopia.
LG made a very generous help with the problem lived in Africa. This helps are the hopes to save more people and the malnutrition lived in children.
The WFP-LG Program will provide to Ethiopia the agricultural support and meals for children. In Kenya they would provide to children less than 5 years old meals for students, food, and nutrition assistance for AIDS orphans.

B- THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO)
Is the program of the United Nations that is in charge of coordinating and administrating the health. It is responsible of the promotion of leadership on health’s global matter, giving shape to the agenda of health investigation, articulating politic options based on evidence, establishing norms, offering technical help to the countries, and being aware of the health’s world problems.

WHO Report: More People Dying of TB Are Infected With HIV
The World health organization report detects a great progress against tuberculosis and HIV since the past years, but is worried because tuberculosis linked with HIV kills more people. It says that they need help with more money so they can have effective interventions for the prevention, treatment and care of the tuberculosis present mostly in Africa.
Health organization is working for stopping the increasing of this situation.
Dr. De Kock, director of the HIV/AIDS department, says that it is very important to prevent the tuberculosis, so it has to be tested in people infected with HIV. Doing this they can get the proper treatment and prevent its spreading. Also he says there are reflections of the bad treatment to this problem that make the situation increase. (Schlein,2009)
Programs make a very useful help, and it is really needed. African’s are increasing their amount of deaths, this situation must decline. Poverty produces hunger, hunger produces malnutrition, and malnutrition produces several sickness witch end with the death.
