Welcome everyone !
We are Aria, Rineta and Tahta from Five Group - 13
Our school is SMAN 5 Bandung. It's located in West Java, Indonesia. Very famous and the most favorite school in Bandung.
In these pages, we will tell you about plastic waste in our life. What are the risks, and how is it compared to other materials. We got some interviews with experts and random peoples. And you can also choose and give your opinion in our vote, ask me, or brainstorming section.
We follow this competition because we are going to be the champion!

Our School, SMAN5 Bandung
SMAN5 Pilot International School was derived from SMA Belitung which was established in 1950s, it is the inheritance of the Dutch with previous school Hooge Burgere School (1915) located in Beliton Straat (Jl. Belitung) Bandung. SMAN stand for Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri, or in english, Senior High School. Now SMAN 5 and SMAN 3 use the same place together, each school uses a half, the Eastern side is SMAN 5 and the Western side is SMAN 3.
Since 2007 SMAN 5 is appointed to be the Pilot International School by using the KTSP Curriculum Plus. We carry out the teaching learning processes by subject equipped with multimedia, ICT, and using the bilingual programs particularly for the hard sciences.
There are 30 classrooms, ten classes for each grade. This year we apply the international class for grade X. There are 40 students in average for each class. The eleventh and twelfth grade we have two programs, namely the science and the social science programs. In the schooling year 2006-2007, 100% of the students passed the exam and more than 90% of them were admitted in the prominent universities or colleges both in the country and overseas as well.
