Hello! My name is Elliot.I am a 9 years old boy who lives in a
beautiful city called Los Angeles. I live near the La Brea Tar Pits
where all the extinct animal's bones are. I am a third grader and goes
to a gifted school, Wonderland Ave. Magnet School. Wonderland is a cool
place. The subjects I enjoy at school is math. I enjoy math since I am
good at it. I am also very athletic so I enjoy physical education. One
of my favorite hobby is drawing. It is fun and it let's me show my
creative side. I can be a messy and neat person. My writing can get a
bit sloppy but I like to keep my room clean. Now you know a little bit
about me, you will now get to know about my Thinkquest competition
partner, Robin.
Hello, my name is Robin. I live in Korea Town. I go to a school called
Wonderland Ave. Magnet School. Wonderland is a wonderful place. That's
why the school is called Wonderland . I am 8 years old. I live near the
Los Angeles Pere Libere. (It means Los Angeles Public Library.) Now you
know about me, you will learn about one of my Thinkquest partner,
Daniel.

near Alexandria Street. I am 9 years old and go to a school called
Wonderland. Wonderland is a great school. My favorite subject is
science. It is a tremendous subject.

Things that we like about Los Angeles
There are many famous place in Los Angeles like the Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood Bowl is known to have many magnificent concerts and plays. Many people in Los Angeles like to go out to eat in great restaurants. The Grove is a popular place to dine out with your friends or family. Disney Land is a wonderful place to play,eat, and you can have a great time there. We like Big Bear and Santa Monica Beach. We like to go to Big Bear and the Santa Monica Beach because we can go camping, go fishing,and run around the Campsite. Another thing we like about Big Bear and the Santa Monica Beach is that we like the wilderness. The wilderness reminds us that we are like a soaring bird flying through the woods. There is many different kinds of places people who live in Los Angeles could go to. People who live in Los Angeles are very lucky to live in Los Angeles.
How Los Angeles became a state of America.
Los Angeles is in the state of California. Los
Angeles was incorporated as an American city on April 4, 1850. Los
Angeles was originally occupied by the Spanish people. They occupied
the land since the year 1769. The words Los Angeles means "The Lost
Angels." Los Angeles is a Spanish word.
The land of Los Angeles belonged to the Spanish starting from the year
1769. Many missions were built along the coast. California was ruled by
Spain until 1822. Later, Mexico assumed power of California. After a
two-year period of disagreement with Mexico beginning in 1846, the area
came under U.S. control. In 1848 the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo made
California a United States territory. Los Angeles was part of this
history.
