We really like rainbow. For us, rainbow is a deciption of nature, a sketch of God that contain amazing enchantment.
We don’t know who start this hobby firstly, but if rainy season arrive, we ‘ll impatience waiting for the arriving deciption of sky’s arriving that is amazing.
As collective various of rainbow, so Miss. Mus gives our group’s name is Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors).(page 160)
Childhood time is always wonderful to remember. Unrealizing what we have done on that time that will make us on today. What we are doing today, how to face our life of this life. That’s all made in the childhood time.
This novel is taken up from the writer’s childhood time memmory – Andrea Hirata – or Ikal figure in this novel who smartly make his child time experience with Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) being a novel that tempting and touching emotionally for everyone that reads the book.
Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) said about eleven Belitong Malay villagers experience that live in misery.
Unintentionally, they are united when they in elementary school together in their village. This novel started with dramatic story, the acceptance of new students in the poor school, SD Muhammadiyah (Muhammadiyah Elementary School) that is the only one school in their village.
The school that is ignored and almost closed if it doesn’t have enough students at least 10 students at the first year.
At last seconds, come a student candidate that makes the school possible to stand.
These ten students who are the prospectives of Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) formed.
Nine years together (six years in elementary school and three years in junior high school) in the same class and desk make their friendship closer, then so the relation with their teacher and their school that can make relay on each other and with their own creativity, defending and struggling their school from underestimated the other schools.

Various characters of Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) are described clearly. Especially Ikal (the writer’s) and Lintang.
Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) book can make the readers captivated, laughed, and cry with their innocence and their spirit.
Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) can also make the reader’s knowledge added. Beside that, Laskar Pelangi contain a lot of glossarium that can help the readers in reading the book.
Althought as the story packed in fiction but between fiction and reality are unnecessary to be argued. In the point, Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warriors) tells that “poverty isn’t the reason to stop to study and not impossible if the little school with their limitedness apparently can be better than the other school that have better facilities and teaching”.
Beside that, this novel can show us that local writer can produce inspirational novel as foreign writer.
