Alan Francis Brooke
A Military Leader
Alan Francis Brooke was born on July 23 and died on June 1963. He was 79 years old when he died. He was a very strong willed man. Alan Francis Brooke fought in both world war 1 and world war 2. During both of the wars, he kept a war journal about everything that happened in, and during the wars. He originally intended it to be for his wife. It had been a long military tradition with his family. In world war 1 he was in charge of military training. He was also a senior commander and chief in the British army. In world war 2 he was the chief of the Imperial Staff. He later got promoted to Field Marshal. He lead the British to victory twice. In the war the most important thing was probably staying alive to be able to see his wife again, during both of the wars. Alan Francis Brooke was very strongly committed to being a great leader. He may not be remembered as well as others, but he is still important and will remain a hero.
