Personal Observation
I personally think everybody uses too much water, electricity and a lot of well needed resources. If we don't start saving our resources, who knows how much longer we have until we "go bye-bye". So we need to start to stop all use of electricity everyday for just 1 minute, 1 MINUTE! Is that to much to ask for? It doesn't seem like much but if everybody in the world does that than it will make a huge difference. Just like if everyone uses a hybrid. If that happens than, WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN! What people need to do to save water is to not use the dishwasher often, take shorter showers, and like in Barney, YOU NEVER LET THE WATER RUN,NO, YOU NEVER LET THE WATER RUN!
Also, to save electricity we should stop the use for one minute each day, turn off the lights in unneeded rooms and a lot more stuff thats on the other pages. That is Michael's personal observation!!!!!!!
Letter To Obama
Stephen Ly
April 20th 2009

Washington DC 20500
Dear President Obama,
I am writing you in concern of the condition our economy is in. We need
more ways to heat our home, but to do it economically also. A couple ways to heat your home are repairing all cracks and holes, large or small, in your roof, walls, doors and windows; Make sure you seal off anywhere that heat might escape. This way heat stays into your house, and you don’t lose any of it. It may cost you more to turn the heater on, but let the air out of your house. It’s better to keep the air inside, and another way to heat your home and save much more money is, If wood is plentiful near your home? Did you know that burning wood cost a lot less than using a heater? These are some great ways to heat your home, and be economical. We should share this with the country, and stop wasting so much money.
Secondly, there are some resources that produce energy, that I think could help us; some vegetables can be used to make energy. Such as the potatoes, its leaves can collect sunlight for us, which can be converted to daily uses. Even some grasses can be converted into electricity that could power some of our houses! Other things like cobs of corn have enzymes, which are being converted into energy. So why not grow corn? Eat it off, and then use the cob to convert it into some energy? I think that these are some better ways to make energy or electricity, but these are things that we don’t even use! we could use these “leftovers”.
To sum up, you can see there are much more ways to make electricity, but we are throwing those opportunities away, why not keep those and save money? Everyone is complaining how the economy is so low, Everyone is getting fired. With ways like this, we could charge less for energy. But still have a way to get it. I would say that these ways are a great technique for energy, and should be passed on. Thank you for your time, and I assure you this will help.

Interview
An interview with Sherry Nguyen who works and helps her husband, who's a car mechanic, about cars & air pollution.
Q: Do you prefer hybrids and why?
A: Yes, hybrids helps save the air from smog and carbon monoxide. It also preserves natural resources and doesn't take up gas since it runs on electric power. Hybrids are also better since they're cheaper than normal vehicles.
Q: Do 18 wheeler trucks produce more or less smog?
A: 18 wheeler trucks produce more smog than regular vehicles. Currently there are no regulations to prevent 18 wheeler trucks to be tested for smog. By 2010, California will enforce all 18 wheeler trucks to be smog tested to protect the air.
Q: What about motorcycles and boats?
A: Both do not have requirements to be tested on smog, but in 2012 motorcycles and boats must be tested for smog.
Q: Are motorcycles better than regular vehicles?
A: Not really. Just a little since it's smaller, but it still produces smog and carbon monoxide.
Q: What happens when a car fails smog?
A: The car owner will not be allowed to renew their car registration until they fix why their car is releasing pollution to the air. Through a smog test/smoke test, there will be a limit and if it exceeds that number of pollution, the car must either be sold or fixed. The car can' be driven around, but if they do and get caught the car owner will get a fine which is usually 10-15% of their registration fee.
