    You can go green in many different ways. You can buy a car that runs on hydrogen instead of gasoline, such as the Honda FCX Clarity which is enviornmently friendly.

Biodiesel

Biodiesel is made from different types of reusable oils. Vegetable oil, soybean oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, recycled cooking oils, and animal fats are used all around the world as alternative fuels. At first biodiesel did not have a big impact on the world but now people are starting to see how great of an invention this fuel is. In 1999, biodiesel producers sold only 500,000 gallons of fuel, but in 2005, 30 million gallons were sold (New Process Makes Biodiesel Production Cheaper). This fuel releases carbon dioxide 78% less than petroleum.
"Its made through a process called "esterification". This refining method uses an industrial alcohol (ethanol or methanol) and a catalyst (substance that enables a chemical reaction) to convert the oil into a fatty-acid methyl-ester fuel" (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency).

Solar

Solar cars are the best when it comes to going green and not using any natural resources that we do not have too. There is an unlimited amount of sunlight that we are finally figuring out how to use to benefit the world. Solar energy can benefit by having electric cars and using solar panels to recharge the battery. The panels also operate silently which helps with noise pollution also caused by cars. Most important reason to use solar panels is that the way you get your energy is 100% free and you do not have to worry about running out of gas.
