游神秘梦幻境 A Tour to the Mysterious (1)
星期五晚上，我们Thinkquest.com小组的成员兴奋地踏上了911次列车，开始了神秘梦幻般的察尔汗盐湖之旅。
On Friday evening, we, the group members of the Thinkquest.com, stepped excitedly on the No.911 Train to start our western tour to the mysterious and illusive Qarhan Salt Lake.

次日中午，我们终于得以见到朝思暮想的盐湖，一睹她的风采。坐在采盐船上，放眼望去天与湖连成一线，碧绿的湖面荡漾着粼粼的波纹，一阵清风吹过，使人心旷神怡，仿佛置身于仙境一般。我们都情不自禁地拿起照相机连连拍下这迷人的景致......
We didn’t catch a glimpse of the graceful Salt Lake yearned for day and night until the next noon. Sitting on the salt dredger and looking beyond, we marveled at the beautiful scene with the boundless green lake merging with the blue sky in the horizon and the green water kept rippling on the surface of the Salt Lake when fresh wind blew. All of us felt carefree and happy as if we had been in a fairy world and could not help holding our cameras to take numerous photos of the charming views.

早就听说察尔汗盐湖不仅拥有丰富的盐储量，而且还是位居世界的第二大盐湖。今日一见，果然名不虚传。这里真是盐的世界，盐铺成的路，盐盖成的房子，起伏不断的盐山，一望无际的盐海......更难以置信的是湖上还有一座浮在卤水山的盐桥，长达几十公里，被人们称为“万丈盐桥”！
We had heard before that the Salt Lake is not only rich salt reserves but also the 2nd largest salt lake of its kind in the world. The true fact is that such a statement is correct since seeing is believing. It is the real world of salt in which the roads are paved with salt, houses are built with salt,,salt mountains extend beyond the horizon and the salt sea looks just boundless…It was even incredible for us to see that scores –of-kilometer-long salt bridge called the Extended Salt Bridge floating on the brine hillof the Salt Lake.

听导游讲，关于盐湖，民间还有一个奇特的传说：很早很早以前，察尔汗这里遍地都是金银珠宝，可是山神魔怪们不够本分，为抢夺财宝而终年争战不休，给这带来了很多的灾难。仙居昆仑山深处的西王母得知后，她命司水神放下天水来，把这些宝贝都淹了，让谁也拿不到，只留给人间。于是就形成了今天的盐湖。这个传说更为盐湖披上了神秘的面纱，使我浮想联翩。
Our tour guider told us a peculiar legend about the Qarhan Salt Lake. Long, long ago, We had heard before that the Salt Lake is not only rich salt reserves but also the 2nd largest salt lake of its kind in the world. 最后我们来到了盐湖博物馆，我看到了形态各异的盐花，从向导的介绍中我了解到由于这里地处戈壁，气候炎热干燥，加上长时间风吹日晒，湖水浓度升高结晶成盐粒，并幻化成令人赏心悦目的盐花，成为难得一见的奇观。你看，这些盐花多有趣呀！它们有的像珊瑚，精致美观；有的像宝塔，秀丽挺拔;有的像睡莲，婀娜多姿;有的像水晶，晶莹剔透......
Before the end of our tour, we got a chance to visit the Salt Lake Museum in which the all-shaped salt crystals were exhibited. We learned from the guider that they had been gradually made of crystallized salt grains due to the age-long torrid and dry climate in the Gobi, being exposed to the weather and the rising of salt concentration of the lake water and all these factors have contributed to the present unique, beautiful and marvelous spectacle. When you look at those interesting salt crystals, you would realize that some of them look exactly like nice and delicate corals, some of them look really like beautiful and erective pagodas while some of them look just like candocks with their graceful appearances and some of them are simply like brilliant and glittering crystals with many varieties and sizes…

傍晚时分，我们一行人恋恋不舍地向盐湖挥手告别，湖面依稀可见盘着的“橘红色的盐业生产线”像一条长龙，随着波纹晃动着，似乎也向我们道别！再见了！神秘梦幻般的察尔汗盐湖！
We felt reluctant to bid a farewell to the Salt Lake at dusk and it was amazing that we could still see vaguely that a jacinth snake-like salt production line waved with the ripple as if it were also saying goodbye to us. Bye-bye, our mysterious and illusive Qarhan Salt Lake.
