Junna: I think Luke and I should be in charge of looking-up the route to the Salt Lake. And I will be responsible for looking-up the highway route, and Luke will be responsible for looking-up the railway route
Highway Route (Junna): There are two highway routes from Xining to Golmud. Route 1: We will tramp over the Xiangpi Mountain which is 3,900 m above sea level from southern Qinghai Lake to Qardam Basin, and walk along the north Kunlun Mountain to the west. The distance is more than 800 km. Route 2: We will walk along the north Qinghai Lake and pass through Delingha and Extended Salt Bridge, and then reach Golmud. The distance is nearly 1,100 km.
Junna considers the Route 1 is of shorter distance and lower traffic accidents risks, while most people will suffer from altitude sickness by tramping over Xiangpi Mountain. And the medicines are necessary. Compared with Route 1, traffic accidents on Extended Salt Bridge of Route 2 are apt to be triggered when the gale comes. Under this circumstance, the experienced drivers will stop the cars. Thus Junna suggests renting the bus of Salt Lake Company to avoid traffic accidents. And the Route 2 is considered to be more convenient than Route 1 and has slighter possibility of traffic accidents.
