The Vines is in the Swan Valley.
In the Vines there is a great golf course, which in early 2009 hosted the Johnny Walker Classic with many famous golfers. It is also a private golf course with golf buggies to hire out. It is an eighteen hole course and is great to have a game with a few friends.
The Swan Valley has plenty of wineries and a few breweries which you can explore either under your own steam or with a pre booked tour.
It is W.A's oldest wine region and has earned it's reputation as Perth's Valley of Taste. It is just 25 minutes from the city and is very luxurious.
Many of the wineries also have beautiful restaurants.
For the non drinkers among you there is also a Margaret River Chocolate Factory outlet and a Noughat Factory, both worth a visit, and some delightful craft shops scattered among.
For the children there is a wonderful petting farm where, if you visit at the right time, you can help to feed the baby animals.
Laser Quest, which is great for the teenagers to adults who love a challenge can also be found in The Swan Valley. In the area of the Laser Quest, there is a Wacky Putt mini golf, and playground for the children to play on.
Supa Golf is at the same location and a great game to be played by all.....fun for both non golfers and golfers alike.
The Swan Valley has some beautiful walks around the fabulous scenery. Bells rapids is a delightful area, better in the cooler parts of the year and more likely to have enough water to form the rapids.
Also, take advantage of the wonderful road side stalls selling delicious fruits at very reasonable prices.
All in all, the Valley is a great place to visit.
