South Dandalup Dam

South Dandalup dam is one of the largest dams supporting Perth's water supply. It is located in the beatiful town of Dwellingup so if you're going to see the dam, go and have a coffee at the little coffee shop they have there.

The water is down quiet a fair bit but it's only the start of winter when we have written this so hopefully we will see a rise shortly.

It has a walk trial which is amazing, the view is fabulous! When you go past it you won't be disapointed, as we said before it is fabulous.

North Dandalup Dam

North Dandalup dam is also located near Dwellingup just further north. The only thing different about it is that it has a beautiful picnic area.

They do have barbecues so you can cook your meat and there is a huge grass area perfect for picnics and the kids can run around and let off steam. There is also a mini beach.

The white rock wall is stunning and you can't miss it because you drive right under it! It looks as if it's going to fall but it won't, the sight of it just takes your breath away!

Serpentine Dam:

Serpentine Dam is in Serpentine, but Serpentine is just on the outskirts of Mandurah.

The dam is picturesque. There are walks around the area and a a delightful cafe overlooking the dam which serves delicious food and drinks. Reservations can be made but are not essential. There are some interesting posters with information about the dam and our water, and a gift shop displaying the work of local artists.

The dam is not always very full but with the amount of rain last year there was lots. Hopefully this year will see sufficient to top it up.
