There are many different ways to be transported around Perth, but the fastest and newest way is by train. The Transperth Railway Line goes from Mandurah to Clarkson. Soon this this great railway line will developed so that it will eventually go to Bunbury, approximatly 3 hours away!!
Other forms of transport include the transperth buses, which link with the trains to get you just about anywhere you want to go, and taxis.
As we have said already the train lines run from Mandurah to Perth but here is a bit more about them.
The trains are either six cars or three cars. If you have a family, there is a family pass which can let you on any Transperth bus or train for the whole day. A family going up to eight people, they cost eight dollars forty. Excellent value for money.
The trip into Perth city from our area is only 40 minutes, and trains run very frequently - about every 15 minutes.
Buses provide a way to get to the train station.
The family ticket can be purchased on the bus, giving you a whole days travel at a very low cost. Buses aren't the fastest mode of transportation, but beleive me it will get you where you want to go.
The buses in Perth's busy city central area are free of charge.
These are the top 2 ways of getting around.
