It all started... with a nonsense-ness
“Did you hear?” I ask my friend.
“What is it?” one of my friend ask back
“My parents said, Don’t go to the forbidden forest, or you’ll be doomed”
“Huh….? What a nonsense!”
“Well, I think it’s make sense”
“Wha….? It’s totally nonsense!”
“Is it? Well, what they call ‘you’ll be doomed’ isn’t doomed right away, but a chain of complicated problems, and at the end, we’ll be doomed”
“Just what are you trying to say?”
“Heheheh… you guys probably won’t understand if I tell you right away…”
“I’ll tell you a story, forests saved by myth alone, while on the other places, forests razed so badly”
“O…kay…. Tell us now!”

The SV.Rainbow warrior, and Forest-man
Several years ago, a ship named SV.Rainbow Warrior came to Indonesia. They’re not here to fight, nor to trade, they’re here to do campaign. No, not politic campaign, but an environment saving campaign. The SV Rainbow warrior ship bring some men, and women, from the Greenpeace organization. As we all know, they protect nature at all cost, hence the cost [from http://www.walhi.or.id/kampanye/hutan/jeda/wal_dun_hut_210104/ ].
This event, isn’t strange, even if in the records, Indonesia is one of top 10 country with largest tropical forest in the world. Do you know why it’s not weird? Well, you’ll find out later.
The kubu tribe or the forest man, they’re native sumatran tribe. They’re famous with their ability to hide in the forest. They’re agile and difficult to track, cool huh? They respect forest so much, because forest gave them what they need, forest gave them life, and place to stay. So, they apply various regulation regarding forest preservation. And of course, they fulfill their necessity using what’s available in their forest. So, forest is highly connected to their identity.
After all of this, came up the same question, is it possible this people destroy their own forest? Yes, no? Well... everybody has their own opinion.
Oh wait, did you wonder what’s this tribe connection between the forest damage? Heheheh.. Well, the red line is about to reveal...
