The Helper
The rescue team are very important for the animal because they care and want to help the animals life. Because of their help the animal can live save and peacefully. We should thank them because not all people can be like them.
These are several organizations that help us to keep the nature, especially our complex relation with animals and the environment itself, in balance:
WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature)
One of the world’s largest networks. WWF is working on environmentalism issues and stated itself to be the true conservation of world fauna, flora, water, soil, forest, and other nature resources. These are several step they do to keep the nature with all of its component live in harmony:
• Policy Advocacy
o World Wide Fund for Nature will support any positive policies made by the governments around
• Field –base Reservation
o See, research, and, doing restoration down to the damages directly.
• Community Empowerment
o The act of prevention. In this way, World Wide Fund for Nature will try its best to give important information, education, or even financial support for the local community to keep on doing these arts of nature’s protection.
This independent organization have millions of supporter and hundreds of branch, spreading all over the world. They’ve done amazing publications to build human awareness. It keeps on going, and they still persist to communicate with publics; campaigning the ultimate slogan “For a Living Planet” with thousands of way. World Wide Fund for Nature also makes several easy choices for us –commoners– to join their effort. Such as, giving-donation, purchase the campaign goods, subscribe the e-magazine for nature’s update, even work with them! These choices easily found at the media, quickly infect peoples all over the world to save their surrounding nature with their own hands.
WALHI (The Indonesian Forum for Environment)
An Indonesian’s organization. Claiming itself as the biggest local network for environmentalism issues, WALHI put its concentrate upon illegal logging, animals trade in black market, protected-animals’ conservation, and so much more, including humanities problems related to the damage in environment. This organization is definitely independent and regularly working with its global associate, “Friends Of Earth” network. Below are several techniques they do to keep the system living harmoniously:
• Voluntary
o WALHI recruit and send their voluntaries to keeping an eye for any peculiar things happened around the area that lead destruction upon the used to be balanced-system. This volunteer also keeping their eye for any of government’s plan-implementation that relates to the nature.
• Animals’ Conservation
o To protect some animals from extinction, the conservation surely in need.
• Publication
o WALHI will happily publicize the facts or news about what happened in the earth of Indonesia to the society. By this step, the society responds and supports will greatly appreciated.
Bayer CropScience
As the member of Bayer group, Bayer CropScience is supporting the nature treatment. Concentrating on the area of North America, this company contributes its fund, not to mention spends some of its time and energy too, for researches related to nature, and gives the result as soon as possible to the society for direct implementation.
This way of innovation or re-invention, hopefully will help humans to find a better way to work with nature component, including the animals as well.
Dolphin Society
An organization built in Australia. This organization is fully concentrating itself on the smart sea-creatures, dolphin. They keep doing researches upon this animal and publicize their latest result. Furthermore, they also catch pictures of dolphins in its beautiful moment, sharing some rare moments, which can’t be ignored by our eyes. It’s really relieving, knowing the fact that respecting the animals by treating them as a graceful creatures is way more fun than just treating them as a fishing or trading objects.
Dolphin Society also make a research about the connection between human and dolphin. As we know, a lots of article or information has give us bunch of dolphin’s positive side. Like, its brain size, its ultrasonic voices, its kind heart that help human often, or even their nutritious meat. All the profitable things that would do for humans. The Dolphin Society plan to make sure about all the statement mentioned, and also try to find a possibility of ‘deeper connection’ between human and dolphin (the connection that using ‘heart’ in it)
This organization is definitely independent and open for anyone. As long as you love the dolphin, and support their existence side by side with humans and other nature components.
That was some organization our team has found. It’s relieving that much of our society still cares about nature, even dreaming about living in a harmony and contagiously. Though, it still need more efforts, times, and willing for us to make the dream come true.
Greenpeace
Another big networks in global environmentalism issues. Greenpeace, differs from WWF, do not put its concentration upon animal protection or conservation directly. This independent organization defines their goal to “change attitudes and behavior; to protect and conserve the environment and promote peace by catalyzing energy revolution to address the number one threat facing our future: climate change.”
Surely, Greenpeace is concentrating its program to face the climate change. This act, of course, support the protection of animals as the symbols of nature cycle-system. They’ve brilliant plans and ideas about making a better ocean, forest, or suburban… all the places where humans and animals (even plants!) living simultaneously. Furthermore, their idea about ‘promoting peace’ surely related to the concept nature-as-a-one-whole-packages, packaging humans with another living souls that should be completing each other and living in a harmony.
Some of their way of act is on the list below:
• Direct action (ex: doing a protest-demo, live campaign in media)
• Innovation (ex: make an eco-friendly stuff, building new awareness)
• Lobbying (ex: try to cancel a not-so-eco-friendly movement by talking to the government around)
