We Have Problems
Indonesia has a lot of tourism destination that are popular. But although Indonesia has other tourism destinations that are also interesting, there are still many people who don’t know its existence. Why does that happen? There are many closure that makes some of Indonesia’s tourism destinations aren’t popular. Here are some of the reasons
Main Problems
- 1. Those Indonesia’s tourism destinations are not promoted enough to the foreign and the domestic tourists.
- 2. There aren’t enough funds to manage the place. Because the local government doesn’t really pay attention to the local tourism assets.
- 3. Means and the infrastructures are not supported enough. Whereas means and infrastructures are really important.
- 4. The services are not good enough, which makes the pleasure less representative.

5. Many of the local community don’t care with their local tourism destination.
Especially the young generation. They know that the government has give lots of money to take care of the place, but they still usually draw pictures on the local buildings.

6. The government doesn’t take enough potential from the tourism object that exists.
Even though many of the tourism destination has a beautiful nature that really interesting. For all of this time, government only focused on promoting Bali Island as the centre of Indonesia’s tourism.
Opinion
Now, after we all know what are the caused that makes many of Indonesia’s tourism destination are not well known enough, the main problem is: “How can we promote Indonesia’s hidden tourism destination in order to attrack tourist?”
According to what we have explained, us, the young generation have the obligation to participate in promoting Indonesia’s tourism destination in any way we can. The most important thing to do is, how can we took care and preserve those tourism destinations, so that they will be memorized forever and make visitors want to come back to enjoy it again.
The way to solve those problems need a serious handling and a well organized coordination from many instances and the community. In fact, we need to act as fast as we can. Starts from the simplest aspect but have a big impact, which is the service aspect. No matter how good the destinations are, if they don’t have a good service, visitors won’t feel comfortable. And if visitors don’t feel comfortable, they won’t come back next time.
There are other was to promote tourism destination. We thought, we can promote our local tourism destination through a festival event around students, regions or even through an international festival event. Where each region sends tourism ambassador to promote their local cultures. For example, they can perform some local traditional dances, local region music or a local Indonesian culture parade.
That way, we can preserve our local tourism destination, including the local culture.
And from other aspect, the local governmnent could do some changes.
Changes Would Be Great
- 1. Government has to start promoting other tourism destination besides Bali Island.
- 2. Give a maximal effort so that the tourism objects are well taken care of.
- 3. Cooperation around the community is really important. Without the community cooperation, all government’s effort to preserve our tourism destination is a waste.
- 4. Workers in the tourism places have to act strict to the teenagers who ruin the tourism buildings. If needed, the workers can give punishment for them.
Final Desicion
From our argument behind, we can take a conclusion that all of us, including the young generation, have the responsibility to preserve our local tourism destination. Although, the main responsibility is in the government’s hand, we need to support their effort on promoting our local tourism destination.
Because, if the government give a 100 percent effort on taking care of the tourism object, but we don’t participate in their effort, everything will be a waste. It will be useless. Everybody knows that we need other person’s support to achieve something we want. And that’s what exactly we need to do. We need to work together on keeping our local tourism destination a clean, an interesting place to visit.
