Wild Wonderful West Virginia

West Virginia is an awesome place to live or visit. It is called Wild and Wonderful due to the mountainous terrain and the raging rivers. The scenery is beautiful throughout the state. There are many state parks to enjoy the outdoors. People come to West Virginia to hike, camp, bicycle, hunt, and go white water rafting.
Charleston is the capital of West Virginia. It is located a little south of the middle of the state. It is the largest city in West Virginia.
Other large cities in West Virginia include Morgantown, home of WVU, two large hospitals and Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Huntington is home to Marshall University and Dupont has a plant in Parkersburg.
Joe Manchin is the governor of West Virginia.

Panhandles

West Virginia is described as having two pan handles.

One is called the Northern Panhandle. Ohio is to the west of it and Pennsylvania is to the east of it.

The other pan handle is called the Eastern Panhandle. Maryland is north of the panhandle and Virginia is south of the panhandle. There a many historic towns in the Eastern Panhandle.
