Kingwood
Kingwood is the county seat of Preston County. The courthouse is located in the town of Kingwood. One of the main events in the town of Kingwood is the Preston County Buckwheat Festival.
Kingwood also features a elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. Also, a hospital, named Preston Memorial, is where you can go in case of a illness or a injury.
There is also a dance studio, just in case your child is into dancing. The studio's name is Sally Ann's Dance Company.
Westbrook's Esso is a very old gas station. It is located in the town of Kingwood. The old gas station is not used anymore, only for display.
There is also a monument that dedicates to the soldiers and sailors of Preston County.
A farmer's market also happens in the town of Kingwood.
Kingwood also features a indoor pool, so you can swim all summer and winter long.
Right in the town of Kingwood is the McGrew House, established in 1841.
There is also a public library in Kingwood, where you can go and check out a book or a movie, and go on the computer.

Courthouse Interview
Amaya interviewed the following people about what they would tell people about Preston County.
The baliff Dave King said that he would tell them that we treat everybody equally. We are supposed to have safety in the courthouse. We are here for them, fugitives, judges and local officers. He has been a baliff for 3 years and he likes circuit court because it is interesting.
The baliff Dale Gillespie said that people who come into the courthouse are safe and they are to uphold the laws of the judicial court. He likes his job because he deals with respectful people and he likes dealing with people.
Magistrate clerk Donna Metheny would like people to come to Preston County to enjoy the Buckwheat Festival. She has been clerk for 15 years. She is responsible for taking care of all the files and money.
Magistrate Janice Roth Snider says that Preston County has a hard working court and the people are very nice. She said that Preston County is a very good place to live. She likes her job because she likes to serve the public. She has been magistrate for over 24 years.
