What about this...
This is about maintaining our community clean and its resources. Some of our common resources are fire, water, air and wind. They help us in our way of living. Water,for example, is very important because the human cannot live with out it. If you look at the Earth from above you can easily see that the vast majority is covered by water, making it one of the most, if not the most precious resource. A human being can stay alive with out eating for more than a week, but would not survive without water.
So it's very important to NOT pollute our water resources since we can't live without it. Help keep it clean and find solutions for our contaminated waters.
Worth a thousand words
This picture says a lot about the situation of water pollution. All together, government agencies, non-profit organizations, volunteers and people from the community must get involved to solve this problem and provide an efficient way to keep the contaminants and trash away from the water sources.

Plants
Another special resource is our vegetation and plants. They are very important for they are the ones that give us the food that we consume. For example, tomatoes,carrots and even fruits. But we can't forget thet there is another fact. The fact is that plants are also the ones that give is us the oxygen we as human beings need to maintane our self living.

What's going on with the ozone layer?
The ozone layer is located in the atmosphere where this gas stays. It has the important mission to filter the ultraviolet radiations that came from the sun, which are very dangerous for the human beings. The ozone layer is very important.
What's wrong with it?
We are destroying it and this is going to be a huge problem to all of us. Because if this layer disappears the ultraviolet beams can penetrate directly to the Earth and that will destroy the world. There will be more sickness to our humanity.
I think that if we all care about it and take care of it, we are all going to live better.
We can't fix it but we can take care of it.

¿Qué esta pasando con la capa de ozono?
En 1984 los científicos detectaron que la capa de ozono tenía un agujero en la Antártida y año tras año ha ido creciendo por más partes del Planeta.
El daño Provocado por el hombre:
Los principales agentes de destrucción del ozono son mayormente el cloro y el bromo libres, que reaccionan negativamente con ese gas.
La forma por la cual se destruye el ozono es bastante sencilla. La radiación UV(ultravioleta) arranca el cloro de una molécula de clorofluorocarbono (CFC). Al combinarse este átomo de cloro con una molécula de ozono la destruye, para luego combinarse con otras moléculas de ozono y eliminarlas.
El proceso es muy dañino, ya que en promedio un átomo de cloro es capaz de destruir hasta 100.000 moléculas de ozono.
¿Por qué desaparece la capa de ozono?
Porque se esta destruyendo. Nosotros mismos la estamos destruendo dia a dia, usando cloro y otros contaminantes que haces este daño posible. Tambien los fertilizantes empleados en la agricultura son parte de los contaminantes.
¿Quê pasa si desaparece el ozono?
Lo mismo que pasaría si tuvieras unas gafas, y se rompe uno de los lentes. El sol puede darte directamente al ojo, o sea, los rayos del sol pueden dar directamente a la Tierra. Eso causaría enfermedades y mucho daño.
¿Qué debemos hacer para evitar la desaparición del ozono?
Para "reparar" la capa de ozono, hay que reducir las emisiones a la atmósfera de los gases contaminantes, como los CFC.
Lamentablemente, nosotros somos también tenemos la culpa de que la Capa de Ozono se este destruyendo, y si no la cuidamos, despúes no podemos quejarnos de lo que pasara.
