Puerto Rico's tire recycling facts
I searched in the internet for tire and rubber recycling companies of Puerto Rico and found two. I wanted to know first hand information about the recycling process, I wrote down a few questions and asked my coach to contact the companies on my behalf. Only one of the two companies answered.
He gives an insight of why we see barges of used tires without being processed.
Below you will be able to read my questions and the answers I was given.

Why recycle? Is there a reason?
You might ask youre self why should I recycle? Well let me show you why we have to recycle because we have papers, glass and even plastics, everytime you throw some of these solid materials on the streets you are hurting and taking away the beauty of our world. Look, when you do this it takes alot of time for this things to desintagrate, it won't disapear from one day to the other and this can also be dangerous.
Example why it can be dangerous: If alittle girl is playing in front of her house and you pass by and you throw a glass and se dosen't see it, what do you think can happen? she can get hurt because if se hasen't seen it she might step on it and she might have to go to the hospital!
Have to ever thought about this things?
Let's recycle, did you know that every time you recycle some thing new comes out of those solid materials?
Yes! it's true because out of plastic bottles, glasses and even news paperthey make things really cool, because they go trough a processing cycle.
In these factories they make:
1. New Bottles out of old Plastic Bottles.
2. Pencils out of News Papers.
3. Jars out of thrown out Glass.
This is why we should recycle because we can make more thing for our benefit out of it.
Wow!
I think it's really cool how they would use grass as an alternative solution. That is an awesome way to improve our resources and our world's air.
Yeah it's really nice.
Can you imagine our houses in the future like this? It will b cool :)

Environmental Technologies
There are already different technologies available to help our planet. These are alternatives that people and industries can use in order to reduce pollution and create eco-friendly houses and industries that cause the least impact on the world’s environment.
There are many more things that can be done but we must take the first step.
We created the problem and it’s time we start fixing it!

Green Building
Use recycled or environmentally safe materials such as reused wood, bamboo, bricks, and stone among other materials that can be sturdy without damaging the Earth.

Renewable energy
Install artifacts or gadgets that don’t use conventional means of producing energy. Use wind power, solar power, and geothermal power to meet your electrical needs.

Save energy
Buy appliances that use minimum amount of energy. Turn off the lights. Use natural light by having strategic placing of windows so sun light can easily come in. Use green switches which cut off all the power to the plugged in appliances.

Sustainable appliances
Make your own compost. By doing this you can reduce the amount of food and vegetation that ends up in landfills which produce big amounts of gas and you have a natural fertilizer for the soil and plants. There are backyard compost bins and composting toilets and bins for the kitchen.

Capture rainwater
Install a system that can capture rainwater and be stored for use around the house.

Green roof
Prepare your roof to be able to plant grass or even plant a garden. This absorbs the heat transferred to the interior of the house or building and helps on reducing energy bills.

Chore's more fun
Change your normal household cleaning products to bio-digradable and eco-friendly products.This also has a soft odor not as stronge as chemical products.It doesn't contain any chemicals at all so it's safer than most products.

You could help us by changing your allogin lightbulbs to flourescent lightbulbs so you would waste less energy and conserve our planets natural energy.

Fix all leakes! Just because it's a drop at a time doesn't mean that when you sum it all up you could't probably fill up a gallon in one day.

Washing up
When you wash your teeth, wash the dishes, take a bath, water the plants or even when you take your dog a bath don't leave tha water running, turn it off meanwhile.

Wow! what a pretty flower .
Plant a tree or a flower to help maintain the air more naturally clean and make your community more beautiful.
