Every single people in this world know what is food, they are really need this, food. Without food we can't live, can't work, can't study, and we can't do anything that we want to. As a human being, food is our first suppliers to give us energy. we use energy to do everything. We can deny that we don't need this.
This is why we have to keep and do not throw away foods. Can you imagine if we throw it and there are many people out there who need it very much? It would be better if we give the foods to them. Food isn't just a food, food is more important than money, food is our lives.

All people in Jakarta and others places in Indonesia know Bandung from its foods and the beauty of its city. A long time ago, Bandung known as the Parijs van Java. But it was, today it's different.
Ok, back to food. We believe that Bandung is food's heaven on earth, got a little bit crazy, however it is true. Culinary in Bandung is really 'wow'. People who come to Bandung will say 'what a delicious food it is!'. Foods in Bandung are very delightful. We can say, 'Bandung, foods supplier from A-Z!', because there are so many foods. Want to try? Try this, go to Bandung in the night, and you will be surprised with the how much food grocers you will find. One word 'Amazing!'
The various of food in Bandung make Bandung become one of the biggest food suppliers in West Java, all the culinary in here will be famous, one of the famous foods are peuyeum, batagor, brownies kukus, lotek, colenak, cireng, surabi and many more.
Have you ever heard about those food? If you ever went to Bandung you absolutely ever heard even taste those. Delicious, isn't it?
The taste of Bandung culinary is very authentic. That is the reason why everybody love Bandung culinary. . .

Batagor is "baso tahu goreng" (fried meat tofu)
usually, batagor is eaten with sauce. the sauce is made from peanut, garlic, some chilli, and soy sauce. this sauce make batagor become more delicious.
Batagor has a unique taste. The unique one come from the taste from the meat. Actually, it isn't meat which made from beef, but the meat made from fish.
we love batagor very much. . =D
chocolate cake called brownies
People in all over the world have tasted brownies, i mean bake brownies.
In Bandung there's a brownies called Steam Brownies or Brownies Kukus. Like the other brownies, the differences are ordinary brownies is baked, but steam brownies is steamed. No big difference. right?
If you eat the steam brownies, you'll feel the different. When the brownies enter your mouth, the taste of steam brownies are amazing, really 'wow'. My favorite is Cheese Steam Brownies, the chemistry of cheese and chocolate are very delicious. when you taste it, you will feel the salt of cheese and the sweet of chocolate blend in your mouth. I like it very much.
American called mixed vegetables with sauce as salad, but Bandungnese called mixed vegetables with sauce as Lotek.
Basically, there's no big different between salad and lotek. but i prefer salad =D.
Just like salad, lotek made from vegetables. for example cucumber, leaf vegetable, and there is also tofu. Lotek used peanut sauce. this sauce make lotek really delicious.
Not only delicious, lotek also a healthy food
colenak and peuyeum
Both of them are same, actually.
The difference only, colenak with palm sugar and peuyeum not.
Peuyeum and colenak are made from cassava. A cassava has to through a long journey to become peuyeum or colnak. The 'long journey' itself is fermentation.
I am really sure there's a chemical reaction in the fermentation.
The main point is both of them are delicious. if you go to Bandung, don't forget to go to Lembang. Along the street you'll see a grocery who sell peuyeum and colenak. try to stop and buy some. and you will taste the delicious of peuyeum and colenak
Have you ever eaten pancake?
if you have, the taste of pancake is similar with surabi.
Of course, there's some differences, like instead of honey or jam, we eat pancake with sweet sauce, it made from red sugar, this sauce made surabi so delicious, but the red sugar sauce often eaten with the traditional surabi. The traditional one is the green, but there's also that not.
Do you know why I wrote about the traditional surabi, because now in Bandung, people is improvising the surabi, like they combine it with egg, sausages, 'oncom', chocolate, cheese and many others. People in Bandung is also make a special sauce for some surabi.
It doesn't matter if its the traditional or the 'modern' one, both of them are really delicious.
