The skills of interview

In order to have a smooth conduct of the work in the interview, we collected some interview techniques.
1. We must be curious and skeptic to the interview.
2. We must be critical of an interview with an interview, is the source of ordinary people. The treatment of attention to detail and do not believe that one side of the story.
3. The classification of questions, open questions and closed questions. While the former refers to more general, broad scope of the larger problems, the answer is not strictly restricted to the other party to the full freedom, room to play. The latter is the more specific, clear, narrow the scope of the questions asked to answer the other questions can only be limited to the specific content.
4. Question by the way. (1) Being asked. That the positive question, came straight to the point, neat and tidy. (2) Side asked. Also called the indirect method. (3) Ask. Also known as the blindingly. (4) Ask remember: source can not let the tension in the former question, it is necessary to know the answer to that question.
5. How do notes and records? (1) Heart remember. (2) Notes will be a sense of what he saw and heard the true story of the material, through the hands of the pen, recorded in the recording of the interview. Recorded a number of focused, meaningful, the main facts and easy to forget some of the content or materials. (3) Sound recordings: is to use a tape recorder or voice recorder for interviews.

Interview with our headmaster(1)

Time: 3:00 pm. on April 15th, 2009

Place: Headmaster's Office

Interviewee: Headmaster Shengqun

Here is the Interview:

Q1: What is the number of students in poverty in our school?
A1: According to our calculation, there were 202 students who received assistant scholarship in 2008, and assistant scholarship is 122,000 Yuan in total. This year alone, school fees cut is 63,000 Yuan in all for 100 students.

Q2: So what may be the reason for their families to live so tough?
A2: Most families are receiving subsistence allowances in their sub district. Among them, some parents suffer from low incomes, some suffer from laid-off, and some are disabled, unfortunately.

Q3: Then how could our school help them?
A3: One way is to cut off the school fees, which helps the students on material; other means are on mental, which come to teachers to spirit them up. Teachers would do home visiting regularly, in order to catch up problems both in learning and living, meanwhile communicating with their parents to make students feel better.

Q4: To go further, in order to do more for students in poverty, how could our school improve?
A4: The most important thing we should do is preserving helping them for long periods. Besides providing their needs physically, encouraging students in poverty psychologically weighs even more to them, the one that may ease their emotional burdens, bring them to a peaceful atmosphere of learning so as to built a better fundamental construction for their future. Furthermore, concerns and affirmative opinions from other classmates are strongly needed, too.

Interview with our headmaster(2)

Q5: Then speaking as a single person, what may be your advices to the government on aiding those students suffering poverty?
A5: Our government always treats people as important as they can, meanwhile have a deep concern on vulnerable groups in society. By now many policies have been carried out, such as Student Loans, setting up Relief stations and so on. Communities should also concern more about their residents, make sure no starving families were neglected on investigation, which could surely be helpful to students in poverty. On Medicare, if hospitalization insurance system grows more complicated, I think things will go much better. And I hope there will be more financial aids on this part, not only via cutting off school fees, but also aiding them on everyday life, which could finally solve their problems on living. When it comes to the league, I suggest setting up special files for students in poverty, by which mean our party will focus on aiding them more easily. On society, the rich should be encouraged to help the poor, which is a good practice of our Chinese tradition. But to go first, workers in the suffering families ought to work hard together to create more profits for society.
