All About Manhattan

Hello here we are going to talk about Manhattan. We are going to talk about why Manhattan is important to us and how it is important to New York City. The person that bought the island Manhattan was a Dutch Man called Peter Minuit in 1626.He bought the island for about 25 dollars from the Native Americans that were living here at that time. That is amazing because today it could cost you a fortune. Manhattan is one of the 5 boroughs of NYC. Manhattan has 1,537,195 people living there that is Manhattan's population. Did you know the county of Manhattan is called the New York City county? The Empire State Building is the tallest building in Manhattan. You can visit there and see people walking by, they look so small. The Statue of Liberty represents that New York City has freedom.
