MY MOTHERLAND

WELCOME to my motherland, the great INDIA.

The ecstasy that I get, my joy as I say the name "India" can not be explained by words. It should be felt.

I just wonder... How shall I introduce my country to my guests...

The land of Mahathma Gandhiji..., the land of philosophy, the land of diverse cultures and traditions, the land of tall towers of temples...

Of course the fact that this the largest democracy in the world is known to everyone.Our country has a total of twenty-eight States and seven Union Territories.

The scenic beauty of Kashmir and Kerala will win the heart of our guests.

In this project, we, the team members, have touched upon few salient features of our Motherland, India.

WHAT IS INDIA

Write your opinion about India.

• India is a great flow of cultures, faiths and colors. This free flow of thought, life style from times immemorial has been taking its own course and the end result has been shaping the humanity and its evolution. India is the biggest and most ancient experiment where almost all racial and ethnic groups of the world have met and mixed. India is truly a universal nation. It is a country of many nations and many ethnic groups. It is a reality and it is working.
  
  It may be anarchic on surface, it may be a bit dustier on the first impression, it may be overstocked with people apparently yet if we remove these first thin layers on Indian body, covered like a dusty, rustic piece of cloth, but I find a coherent, consistent force of life, vibrant, organized, incredibly beautiful, extra ordinary spiritual, most colorful, covering all hues, shades, tones and styles, projecting deep within, a solid, stable, peaceful, soul of India, which collectively make India - a truly amazing and great place.
  
  India has survived and will survive. Jai Ho!

  Well I collect some coins from different countries & also interested in Philately. I like playing Basket ball & Foot ball. I have many friends.......

• Hi Guys! This is Visalakshi from class 9th. Am 13 and I just love hanging around with my friends. Am a person Frank and Funny. I just speak out what comes to my mind, no hiding anywhere. Am always upto some pranks, I keep cracking jokes every minute everywhere, making all my friends have a hearty laugh. I usually stay silent in my class while others are loud due to my recent joke. But apart from being funny I wont forget that I've got a bad temper whose glimpses have been caught in by some. I just don't get angry easily but once its up the sleeve no one can stop it! I value bravery and loyalty among other qualities. I just love my dear friends. I waste my free time everyday by reading Harry Potter for the nth time. To say, i've just memorised Harry Potter books from top to bottom, more thoroughly than I read my textbooks! Am actually in love with it. I just love both the series of movies and books. My speciality is in making friends of kind, well all kinds! I have many thousands of dear friends. Prominent of them are Sowndarya, Archhanaa, Priyanka, Krithika, Santhosh, Akshay, Hrishi etc. I enjoy playing football and volleyball along with badminton and I never miss an oppurtunity to surf through my favorite pages on the web which also include ThinkQuest.Com!

I guess u got to know my name...well I am Arunima a 13 yr old 9th grader...I like reading novels (specially the ones that are scary) like fear street, hound of baskervilles...I am a total horror freak!! I like writing poems and stories and aspire to become a journalist or maybe a director...I like hanging aroun with friends and chatting wid them like any other girl! I just love my country because its the one country that has got all sorts of people in it...u know its sort of like a balanced diet....all types of people, traditions and customs are followed here!!
