The water level of Qinghai Lake continues decline, it will cause serious mineralization. If it enters a vicious cycle of ecological environment, Qinghai Lake will die after a hundred years. In other words, we can't enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Qinghai Lake. This is a sad thing! Data shows that the Qinghai Lake on east-west direction at approximately 20 kilometers back. Qinghai Lake is compared to the Qinghai Lake ten thousand years ago, with an area reduction of one third , the water level dropped by more than 100 meters.

In the past, the water level trend of Qinghai Lake was dropping. First, because of drought, the runoff of feeding rivers around Qinghai Lake and the water surface precipitation of Qinghai Lake was small. Second reason was global warming and large evaporation of lake surface. Once people had asserted that, Qinghai Lake would disappear after 200 years.

As far as I know, the provincial government of Qinghai Lake on the implementation of the arable land around the project of returning farmland to forest. To protect Qinghai Lake, On May 26, 2008, Song Xiuyan, governor of Qinghai province declared that the project for protection and comprehensive control of ecological environment in Qinghai Lake valley was officially launched. The project investment was nearly 1.6 billion; of which the planning and implementation period is 10 years, and would be carried out in 4 countries that covering the whole Qinghai Lake valley: Gangca, Haiyan, Tianjun, Gonghe. With the implementation of the project, the ecological environment in Qinghai Lake valley would be efficiently protected and recovered; the dropping water level trend of Qinghai Lake would gradually be relieved; and would have great significance in maintaining ecological security of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

As we all know global warming, alpine glaciers, alpine snow continued to melt, water flows into the lake, so that water increased availability, the water level rose. According to the meteorological data: precipitation in our province last year increased than in the same period last year. The main reasons for the rise are: 1) the degree of artificial precipitation is constantly enhanced. The continuously increasing of precipitation makes the additions in both runoff of rives in Qinghai Lake valley and water level of Qinghai Lake. 2) With the global warming, the melting glacier and snow around feeds Qinghai Lake, this causes water level rise. 3) During the past few years, cloudy and rainy weather arose more and more frequently in the area and lake surface evaporation decreased, which is also one important reason for the rise.
(青海湖水位上涨的原因主要是:1)我们省不断加大青海湖地区人工降雨力度,降水量的持续增加使环青海湖地区的河流径流量和青海湖水面降水量得以增加; 2)随着全球气候变暖,青海湖周边的冰川、积雪不断融化,融化的水不断流入到青海湖,使青海湖的水位上不断上升;3)这几年青海湖上空出现多云和阴雨的天气较多,湖面水的蒸发量就少了,这也是青海湖水位上涨的一个重要原因。)

The good and the bad could coexist about the Qinghai Lake-bit up,on the one hand,the water level increase could ameliorate on the local climate and provide healthy environment for fish longevity Huangshui.On the other hand,it coud lead to the melting of glaciers and the drying up of rivers,which can't supply enough water for the surrounding flowers and trees,it has no benefit to the future eco-development of Qinghai Lake.

I think the rising of water level has both advantages and disadvantages.It's good for the surrounding plants to restore. Its disadvantage is the desertification of land as a result of grassland degenration which results from the drying up of rivers as the glaciers melt.He will affect the ecological environment of the Qinghai Plateau我认为青海湖水位上涨有利有弊。好处在于对周围植物的恢复有利;坏处在于由于冰川消融殆尽,江河断流又导致草场退化,草场退化导致土地沙化,他会影响到青海高原的生态环境。

bothI think it’s good, but negative factors still exist. On the one hand, the rising water level is propitious to the improvements of ecological environment of Qinghai Lake, and is propitious to the growth of naked carp (Gymnocypris przewalskii) and to the growth of vegetation in surrounding area. On the other hand, seeing from another angle, the rising water level of Qinghai Lake might be bad, that is, one of the main reasons for the rise is the global warming lead to the melting acceleration of glacier and snow on the nearby mountains. If this continues, the phenomenon that the rising water level of Qinghai Lake will be bad, that is to say, when all glacier and snow melt, rivers will be all dry up. The ecological environment of the whole valley will be worse which might finally affect the living environment of human being.
我觉得青海湖水位上涨是好事,但也存在着不利的因素。因为,青海湖水位上涨有利于青海湖周边生态环境的改善,有利于青海湖中湟鱼的生长和青海湖周边地区植被的成长。但是,青海湖的水位上涨从另一角度看可能就是一件坏事。因为,青海湖水位上涨有一个主要原因,就是气候变暖导致天然高山冰川和积雪融化速度加快所致,如果这样持续下去,青海湖水位上涨的现象就会变成坏事,当冰川和积雪融化完以后,江河有可能就没有了流水,整个流域的生态环境就会恶化,最终将会影响到我们人类的生存环境。

bothIn my opinion the rising water level of Qinghai has Both advantages and disadvantages, the benefits of Qinghai Lake is it would not have disappeared,If Qinghai Lake is too dry,it wiil be disppear after several hundred years , if a little moisture can be kept long, Qinghai Lake will exit.If the rising water level of Qinghai continues, eventually the water will take away part of the land eventually.(我认为青海湖水位上涨有好也有坏,好处是青海湖就不会消失了,因为青海湖太干燥几百年后就会被晒干,如果潮湿一点就可以长久保存了。坏处是,青海湖水位不断上涨,最终水会淹没一部分陆地。)

This explains that Qinghai Lake plays an important role in the world; I have seen this on the net, as early as 1992 Qinghai Lake was included in the List of Wetlands of International Importance.
