Healthy Eating

I know sometimes it can be hard to be healthy all the time but you can make a start. I'm going to give you some tips and recipes to make you as fit as a fiddle! You need your five fruit and veg a day and I know how to get you there. Some people think that if you do loads of sport you can eat anything and you'll just burn it off but thats not really true. You burn off the fat but unhealthy food leaves toxins in your body. Sugary treats are fine every once in a while but aren't supposed to be eaten on a regular basis. Altough some healthy foods mightn't look nice you'd be surprised by how tasty they are. Try to keep an open mind about food and although everyone has something that they don't like, there's bound to be healthy snacks out there that suit your taste-buds!!

Fun Fruit Salad

How to make a healthy Snack

Ingrediants: A handful of seedless grapes
Sliced pinapple
A handful of blueberries
2 or 3 kiwis
10 sliced strawberries
1 banana
1/2 a glass of orange juice (freshly squeezed)
Or any particular fruit that you like!

Method: get a nice big bowl. Wash, slice and put the grapes into the bowl.Make sure the blueberries are washed and put them into the bowl. Peel and slice the kiwis into any size you like and throw them in. Wash the strawberries and slice them in half and throw them in. You can put in more if you like.Peel the banana and slice it and throw it in. If you have any other fruit make sure that it's washed and you can throw it in. To give the fruit salad a kick, mix the fruit up and pour in the orange juice. There you have it! a nice healthy, tasty, easy to make fruit salad!!


Hints and tips: this also makes a nice desert. Serve this with nuts or ice-cream and you're sure to please your friends!!

What foods should you eat?

Everyone's human and everyone likes to eat sugary foods every now and again! But too much isn't good for you. Things like eating your five fruit and veg a day is important even if you don't like them. In the supermarkets they can help you too. They have codes to tell you how healthy different types of food are. So, if you're going to the supermarkets, instead of going straight to the biscuits, sweets or sugary foods, go to the fruit and veg section and you'll be surprised by how much selection there is! You don't have to be over the top about it and don't get obsessed with being healthy, just be aware. It really isn't that hard once you get into a routine.

    If you're having a party, why not have healthy food instead of all junk food? It can be really tasty and good for you too!

  • Something for School

    If you want you can ask your teacher or principal if you can host a healthy hour! It will encourage people to be more healthy and to choose better foods.
