El-Simsimia
An ancient instrument that reached to The Suez Canal cities ( Port Said - Ismalia - Suez) from Ethiopia, some people think that through trades or through pilgrims who used o pass the Suez canal on their way to the holy places in Saudi Arabia. This instrument used to be bigger, but the Suez Canal cities customized it to be as the way it looks today.Others said that this instrument is pharaonic and used to named as the harb only it is smaller.The first city to use it was Suez city by an artist called Kabarbar, then Ismailia by Ahmed Farag then Port Said by Ahmed Elsawahly.
