The Cismigiu park

The Cismigiu garden is the oldest public garden in Bucharest,built in the English style. It had o total surface about 0,17 m².
The Ministry of the Interior occupied about this garden giving some provisions: the walks could have been made before 10 p.m. and nobody was allowed in the park with his tour or pets. Also, the itinerant sellers wasn't allowed in park and those who stepped on the grass or took flowers were punished.Even the noisy atmosphere were sanctioned.
A particularly attraction of the park is the restaurant designed by the Romanian architect Ion Mincu and named "Monte Carlo".
Also, it was built in 1943, a flower bed which has some busts graved in rock,representing well known Romanian cultural personalities like:Mihai Eminescu, Alexandru Odobescu, Titu Maiorescu, I.L. Caragiale, George Cosbuc, St.O.Iosif, Ion Creanga, Al. Vlahuta, Duiliu Zamfirescu, B.P.Hasdeu, N.Balcescu, V.Alecsandri.

Parcul Herastrau

The Herastrau park was built in 1936 around the lake Herastrau and it is the biggest park in Bucharest.The surface of the park has about 1,1 km².Before 1930, the area where the park is situated was a swamp area which was drained between 1930 and 1935. Then, it was decided that all area were to be arranged as a park,considering that in the area was The Arch of Triumph.
