There are many ways to clean polluted. One way to clean water is to kill all the germs in it by putting an iodine or clorine tablets in it for an hour. This iodine is not tasty so you can put a neutralizing tablet after the iodine tablet has taken affect, this has to sit another hour.
The BCB aquastraw
This new straw called BCB aquastraw can purify polluted water. Because of its iodine based agent, it is most effective to prevent Amoebic Dysentery and other intestinal infections. Also known as the survival straw, it reduces viruses and bacteria. The aquastraw can be used straight from a water source, in a canteen, or a water bottle.
A Cleansing Bottle
Europe has discovered a bottle that can clean water just by letting it sit out for a few minutes. Right now this unique bottle is only 16 Euros. This is great deal considering it could save your life and because it lasts an incredible amount of time. We hope to get other contries around the world to make this bottle.
A clear way to success
Turning dirty water into clear, refreshing, clean drinkable water has been a major goal for mankind. In fact it has been accomplished in Africa. They simply pour the dirty water into a bucket with a cloth (no holes). After waiting 20 minutes, the water should be perfect to drink. This has been saving thousands of lives and can help from contaminating people when the only resource is a dirty old lake. This is why we need to spread this great invention across the world so one day we can have a clear blue planet.
Our Action Plan
Our action plan is to donate bottled water to local shelters in Colorado Springs. An example of these shelters is American Red Cross homeless shelter located at 709 S Sierra Madre St., Colorado Springs, CO. We also want to raise money from our school and donate it towards helping world wide water problems.
Africa's New Solution
Africans have discovered how to clean water. They only have to fold 2 boxes and cover it in aluminum foil and it works as a stove. Using this method they can boil water and clean it to prevent illnesses from the diseases caused by water. We hope to spread this globally in order to save millions of lives.
What can you do to help?
Do you know a local shelter? You could help them by donating a water purifier or volunteering to help with the citizens that stay there. Other ways to help are passing out bottled water or serving food at soup kitchens. Providing water to every individual is a crucial step towards getting out of poverty and escaping diseases.
