From boy to man
For all

them after their graduation from high school.
During this period, they serve as Full Time National Servicemen (NSFs) in the
Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), or the Singapore
Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
This is followed by annual reservist duty until they are 40 or 50 years old
depending on their rank. Operationally-Ready National Serviceman (NSman), as
they will then be known, are recalled for annual in-camp training or military
exercises, each time lasting for one or two weeks.
