What I learnt when I was at the lighthouse

Every lighthouse has a different shape or colour to show the different area. This lighthouse is unique because it has a window shaped as a keyhole. This lighthouse is on a golf course. It was lit for the first time on the 4 June 1895. They build this lighthouse there so there would be no danger as this spot was very dangerous. It was dangerous because of the reef, fog and wind.

Footprints in the sand

These footprints are over 2000 years old. We went and visited them when we went on our tour. Before we went to look at the footprints we took a look at the Footprint Café. It was shaped as a footprint. On the way to the footprints our tour guide told us interesting information. We learnt how the footprints came to be at the top of the cave. He said to us, “ The footprints were made when a person walked on the sand. Soon the sand became moist and when the wind came the dry sand went over it. The sea came and over the years it made a cave.” He also said how the first people discovered it, “ There were two men walking along the beach. The wind was roaring and the rain was pouring. They decided to shelter under a cave. One man looked up and he saw a footprint.” We went to that same place and saw those footprints. It was an interesting place and we were all excited when we saw those footprints.
