When we went to Addo Elephant Park I learnt about Elephants and how they drink water and how they eat.I also learnt about dung beetles and how the beetles push the dung.
7 April we went on a tour and saw places and animals I have never seen before. I learnt to switch on a camera and make a video. It was the first time I went on a swing bridge. My friend was nervous to go on it.
17 April Today I learnt to insert picture into my brochure and how to group objects.
24 April 2009 I learnt how to move a page and Delete a post from a page. I had to fix my brochure and upload and upload it again. WE ARE NEARLY FINISHED!
30 April I learnt how to entertain people and I also learnt about many names of our visitors. Last night I learnt to wait for my turn to read and how to introduce myself of a laptop and talk to another person.I was nervous to talk in front of people but I did it.
I feel proud to be in this competition and I have learnt a lot about my area and how to be a good tour guid. I also learnt how to do my brochure.

Today we woke up very early to come to school to do the ThinkQuest project. We started working from 9:00 to 3:00. We started working and working. At about 11:00 we had a short break. At 12:00 we went shopping at a local shop in Beacon Bay we bought a white T-shirt and tried it on But it was hard to choose which colour we wanted because Tristan wanted a yellow t-shirt and Holly, Ashley and Me wanted a black one so we just chose a white one. We had no choice...... After we bought our T-shirts my coach asked us "do we want ice-cream? " and we all said "Yes". Tristan bought a vanilla dip, I bought a chocolate dip and Ashley and Holly bought a Flake ice-cream. At about 1:00 we came back and started working, We did alot of work. I had to creat a movie, post a message for Soccer World Cup,
and I still have to Compose theme music for the video that i made about the trip aroung East London, My journal and add comment for the traffic page. We learnt alot of things from ThinkQuest! It feels weird that all my friends are on holiday and I am busy working on ThinkQuest with my team members. We also finally decided on our logo. I am very worried about we are not getting enough time to work together and finish this project so I am trying to come to the computer lab when ever I have time. At 3:00 our coach took us home. ThinkQuest is very fun,exciting,exploring and learning!!

I learnt alot of things in working in this Thinkquest. I am very proud of what I have done.We went out with Brenda Hallowes to Addo.I learnt a lot of computer things when I made the slideshow in the project. I am not worried and that means I am happy.What excites me if we win we will all have fun in San Fransisco.I hope I meet you guys. 'BYE BYE.

On the 7 April we went to lots of places. It was me Luzuko and
Lithemba.We visited the 2010 staduim. We took pictures of the staduim. Secondly we went to the harbour. I learnt that we are not allowed to go in with cameras in the harbour and we must not take pictures. Then we went to Kragga Kama National Park.I learnt of lots of animals and what they eat and where they stay.
I learnt about lots of different plants in the park.

Today I learnt of how to to make a brochure how to put pictures on it. We learnt how to group object in my brochure, how to put colour backround.

I learnt how to put pictures in certain places on ThinkQuest and how to move a post to a new page. Now I am learning this word citations. It is when we tell people where we got the infomation from. I learnt how to close an eye and to open an eye.
30 April 2009 I learnt of lot of things last night in the showcase. I learnt to not take out your nerves on people when you talk. I learnt how to talk in front of lots of people. I was frightened but after a time it was fun. I welcomed the people. I was supported on the computer by Mrs. Hallowes. I am proud of what I have done and I hope I will be in a comptition like this again. I am proud that I know lot of thing and now I know a lot about brochures and a lot about my city.
Tristan's Diary
16 march 2009. I learnt that in Thinkquest you have to use everyone's advice and ideas. Teamwork, sometimes, is the only way to succeed. I'm worried about the things Thinkquest could clash with. This project excites me because we will talk and meet new people.
30 March 2009. I have learnt how to prepare certain questions. I'm not really worring about anything so far, but I don't like the fact that if we win we can only take one parent with us. Nothing really excites me except that we are going on a tour of E.L on Thursday.
3 April 2009. I have learn't many things from ThinkQuest and I can't put them all down on this list. On Thursday we went on a tour of E.L. I am really excited that the holidays are here! Nothing worries me.
14th April 2009. I have learn't how to put photo's together to make a movie in movie maker. It has been great doing thinkqeust and I hope we come in the top two! I am not worring about any thing so far.
20 April 2009. Today we summarised what you need to know as a professional tour guide. I learnt what a tour guide needs to have. I am looking forward to the show case because I want a break.

On 16 March 2009
I learnt lots of exciting things. I learnt how to scan papers and all the different things you can do on a computer. This project is very exciting. Nothing really worries me. We are also having great fun. Mrs Dean even took us for ice-creams. It is exciting how you could go overseas. The only thing I don't like is only one person can go with me, but I guess we could buy extra tickets.

I think I have learnt alot of things. Now I can make up questions very quickly. The only worry is to finish on time but I am so sure we can do it. Everything is exciting about this project. I have just caught up in my work. I can't come in the holidays because I'm going away. I can only come the day before school. I think that we are going well.

Today is the last day of the term. Yay! Yesterday we went on a tour with a professional tour guide. I learnt alot of things like what you must do in the beginning of a tour. You must introduce yourself then tell them where your going and ask if they want to go any where specific.

Today we came at nine o'clock and are working hard. First we did work on the computer and made movies. We then went to the shop to buy our t-shirts. After that we had a treat. It was an ice-cream. A had one with a flake in. It was delicious. this day was fun and I the team is doing great.
On 20 April
Today we all brainstormed on the essential question "Can I be a good tour guide?" We then wrote our names on different pieces of paper and scrunched them up. Then we picked a piece of paper and that was who we wre going to ask this question. I have learnt a lot these past few weeks and when Ashley asked me the question I could answer it straight away. I have learnt lots and am expecting to learn more.

On 16th March I learnt alot of thing from Think Quest. I learnt how to communicate with other people and how to crop photo's and compress them. I also learnt how to write a permission letter. Nothing worries me except that if we win we get to go to San Francisco with 1 parent only. Mrs Dean also excited me when she took us for ice-cream. We get to have a party at the end of this project. YAY!!

My other team members told me that they went on a trip yesterday with a proffesional, I didn't go because my mom said I could'nt. I only saw the photo's it looks very fun. Every second of this project it gets more exciting and more exciting!!!!!

On the 16 and 30 March, this is what I wrote. I learnt alot from Think Quest. I learnt to crop and compress photos and how to upload pictures. I learnt to scan permission letters. We also went to the beach and interviewed Mr Knox. Nothing worries me so I'm happy. I was excited when Mrs Dean took us for an ice-cream after we interviewed Thembeka. Got excited when Mrs Dean told us if we win we can go to San Fransisco, but only one parent is allowed to go with. I am so happy it is nearly holiday! On the 3rd of April it is holiday for us. Today, it is holiday! My grandmother has a laptop, so she is bringing it to me for the weekend. Yesterday, we went on a tour with a professional touring company. We went around a tour around East London. We went to West Bank, where we saw the Hood Point Lighthouse. We also went to the post office the the oldest tree, which is a fig tree, and it is over 200 years old! Next, we went to Fort Glamorgan, which was established in the 1840's. We also went to latimers Landing where the Coelacanth was found. The Coelacanth was found by Courtney Latimer.
14th April: today is still a holiday but we went to Think Quest and went shopping for T-Shirts. We bought white T-Shirts for our show case in 2 weeks time. After we bought the T-Shirts, Mrs dean took us for ice-creams. They were so delicous! With our tour we did a day before school closed, we uploading and writing all the things we did. We are with Mrs Dean from nine o'clock until four o'clock. I havent really learnt anything new because I learnt most of the stuff in the begining. The shop we went to, to buy the T-Shirts, was at a local shop in Beacon Bay .It feels a little odd that all my friends are on holiday and I am busy working with my team members. I am a little bit worried that we might not be finished when we have to submit the project in just over 2 weeks time.

20th april: I learnt about file manangement and skype chat. Other than that, I also learnt about the porcelain, the old ferry coin and some of the words in the vocabulary list. We are nearly finished with our project but just have some uploading to do. Today we had to do a peer interview with our fellow team members. I ended up interviewing Holly, and Holly interviewed me! The question we asked eachother was "Can I be a good tour guide?" We all answered yes followed by I can be a good tour giude because so on and so on. i am so excited for Wednesday because I will be visiting a 5 day old baby!Awwwwwwwwww! It's so cute! Thats why I am so excited. Other than that, I have no more news. Chat Later, BYE BYE.
