Hi, as I told you our teacher Mr.Dumren just finished explaining the chapter about the age where no high tech robots existed and millions of humans lived on the Earth. I really find it fascinating how you guys could live without robots and the modern video games and gadgets.
And I also heard that it took you people hours together to travel from one place to another? Well, I just can't imagine how you tolerated that.
Mr Dumren has set a test about the Ancient age ( the era in which you all lived) tomorrow. So , could you help me with it?
Field trip!
Some time ago we had a field trip, or a space trip as it is called now. Mr Dumren took us along in the school shuttle to the Intergalactic Earth Museum.
It is astonishing how big the museum is.It is a domed structure and the dome is shaped like the upper part of the Earth. It contains all the remains of what was present on the Earth ages ago , from the age of the dinosaurs to your age and later.
As we entered we saw a huge statue of an elephant which became extinct 750 years ago. You might also be fascinated by the fact that the Tiger became extinct 900 years ago. The whole of the ground floor is about animal life (extinct, that is). There is a huge skeleton of a Blue Whale hanging from the ceiling. The prized possession of the museum is a skeleton of a Brontosaur. It was an ordeal to bring it to space!
As we move on to the second floor, history also moves up. Now we come to the medieval age. If you'll come up here you will be surprised to see an old computer mouse among the most prized possessions. There are also things that you would have never imagined to see in a museum. Some of them are - A feather from a crow, an age old wired telephone, a bookshelf, a wooden cricket bat and many others.
The third floor is an extension of the second floor. The floor is named "The Life of Pre-modern Earthlings." Here we find artifacts from your day to day life. We see a vacuum cleaner, a washing machine, an Apple Macbook and many more. There's also a Mercedes Benz which is the center of attraction.
