Important dates in the history of Palombara

There are many important dates in the history of the castle and Palombara Savelli.
Initially in the sixth century there was a settlement on the part of some members of the church. In the 578 Sabina was invaded by the Lombards and Palombara was invaded by a family of nobles. In 916 Palombara becomes part of St. John. In the tenth century, the family takes possession of Ottaviani Palombara. Oddone, a member of the family Ottaviani, takes possession of Palombara in 1061 and in 1063 passed to his brother, Octavian. Born in 1101 the church of S. Biagio. In 1216 Pope Honorius III did restructure Savelli the church of San Biagio and began to build the church of S. Egidio. In 1278 Cardinal Savelli buy the castle Palombara.
In 1285 we read the testament of Pope Honorius IV in 1330 Jacopo Savelli asks pardon of Pope John, in 1337 Palombara imposing a peace Orsini and Colonna. Is assigned to Palombara Cola in 1400 and in 1445 was inherited by James. The church of St. Francesco was built in 1458. In 1461 there is a war between James Savelli and Pius II and later, in 1463, died James.
In 1482 Palombara manned by Napolitain. In 1501 will be dominated by Valentino. In 1556 Palombara is besieged by the Spaniards. In 1637 the Savelli Palombara to sell Borghese.
