What is Yoga?

Despite being the supreme creation of almight god and blessing with all sorts of matter and means at reach, the modern man is without peace and happiness, the essence of life. Man, knowingly or unknowingly, plays the role of a catalyst to welcome a catastrophe. His misdeeds land him in the territory of misery and misfortune which in course of time, guide him to the shore of decay and death.
At this juncture, "The Yoga" an output of ancient wisdom and culture has essentially become the effective panacea to give a healing touch to the modern people with a deformed physique, bruised mind and wounded soul. The yoga an art of life, has the testimony of leading the modern people out of the complexities and problems of life. practised sincerely it promises manking a good health, mental tranquility and spiritual poise, the core of a happy and peaceful life. In a nutshell, the yoga is a key to better living.
People generally say, " healthy mind lives in a healthy body" It means, for a mind to do work progressively a healthy body is required. The mind should be happy, only then you can do work with efficiency. Healthy body makes mind healthy.
Now question is how you can make your body healthy? answer is of course Yoga.
The word Yoga automatically calls to mind Sage "Patanjali" the founder and father of Yoga. He lived around three centuries before Christ, and was a great philosopher and grammarian. However this work is now lost in the pages of time.
The Yoga of Patanjali is Ashtanga or comprised of 8 limbs. They are:1. Yama 2. Niyama 3. Asana 4. Pranayama 5. Pratyasha
6. Dharana 7. Dhyana and 8. Samadhi
Yoga was developed and perfected over the centuries by philosophers and mystics in India. It is basically a method by which we increase the body's supply of energy and remove any interference to the transmission of energy throughout the body.
