 A Story about a village famine. Once there was a village called Shloknagar. People of the village lived happily there. Everything was fine when until one day a man from the city came to the village and laughed over the people for their ritual of praying the sun god. He proved everyone wrong and all the villagers believed him. They stopped praying the sun god. Few months later.......................................... There was a famine in the village. The temperature was not at all pleasant and soothing like before. People had nothing to eat as their crops dried up. There was hunger and starvation everywhere. The ponds dried up and the people of the village were in a helter -skelter to leave the village and go find some other village until a saint was passing by and said ‘Instead of running away from the village like this you could pray to the sun god who is responsible for this famine in your village’. Then the villagers understood their mistake and performed a ritual to please the sun god. Days later.......................................................... There was rain in the village.... the ponds were filled up, the people who had gone to the other villages came back, the animals took a sigh of relief, the children were happy and were enjoyed the rain continuously for a week, there was once again food to eat and starvation abandoned the village.....what else everyone were happy like before. What happened to the villager??????????????????????? He was banished from the village because it was his mistake that the villagers had to make up for by sacrificing everything which included their homes, the lovely village, the village river and even their lives! MORAL OF THE STORY :- Don’t trust anyone blindly.
