Introduction

INTRODUCTION

A sane human being who is expected to obey /follow the rules of the family, a local society ,a local government and above all the constitution of his state is said to be a citizen of that nation. Now in simple parlance a world citizen is no different than this. And nevertheless a good global citizen must transcend the terrestrial barriers besides cast creed and colour. However, a good world citizen should have certain values which are appended below:
1. Thinking: It is the thought which germinate the seeds and finally culminate into its vast pervaded manifestation , so the thinking only can make one to be so.
2. Activity: For perseverance of ecological balance one can adhere to the restrictions imposed by various relevant agencies such as to be aware of global warming , extinction of rare species and conservation of natural resources.
3. Empathetic: Good world citizen should try to understand other people and have empathy for them.
4. Cooperation: One should be willing to help and cooperate with others.
5. One need not be a flag bearer of Non- Violence, yet he could shun these activities and oppose others at times.
6. One can have his own ideas and feel free to express them, but should be open to change if proved wrong.
7. One should remain diligent towards his duties and should feel that, the cost of freedom is self imposed discipline.
8. One should abreast himself with general happenings around the world.
9. One should not remain indifferent for the atrocities inflicted upon others.
10. Finally we can conclude that a culture is bestowed upon by the home/ society and in turn man should repay it with interest for just being a good world citizen.
Such a global citizen can only exist when he is equally secured and safe and is immuned from the threats at large. This can only happen when the states don't vye for absolute power viz. economical , technological and self defence.
