We should preserve folk music, because folk music is part of our country's Heritage.Folk Music tells us how peoples life was during the past.Folk Music teaches students of many country's past in a fun way.This why we must preserve folk music.

What are these Picture's about?

At our school Recently we had a Show for our parents conducted by our music Teacher Mrs.Cunningham, in this show different Grades were different contries:
K- Mexico
1st-America
2nd-China
3rd-India
4th-Tahiti
5th-Africa
Everyone dressed up like they lived in the contry and sang, Danced, and played instruments from there contry. But at the end every one joined in ,in a song called Beond the borders. this song talks about how all countrys are one world, it all depends on how you look at it!

How can we preserve folk music traditions?


  • We can perserve folk music by having a week out of every year to celebrate it. Since there are seven days out of the week we can celebrate the top seven most honored folk music. Each day we can dress up as the folk music we did ,and talk about. Also, we could do many fun activites to celebrate, and honor it.
