Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, this horror film messes not only with the character's minds, but with yours too. It starts out following Marion Crane, who seems to be stuck in life, still deciding where to go. She would like to marry Sam, but he doesn't have enough money for a wedding. The golden opportunity arises when her boss entrusts her with $40,000 in cash to deliver to the bank. She packs her bags and drives out into the country. She finds the Bates Hotel, and decides to stay the night there and drive the rest of the way in the morning. But strange things start to happen when she arrives there, starting with the odd hotel owner, Norman, who seems to be obsessed with his mother in a way no one has seen yet.
