About us

We researched Simple Harmonic Motion and performed the labs. We are students from different high schools attending the Upward Bound Math and Science program over at the University of Texas at Arlington. At this moment, we are separated because each one left the summer institute for another school year in their corresponding state. We come from a mix of Hispanic and American cultures. The diversity in our team is not a cultural one, but of expertice. Chelsea was good in the labs, Megan gathered the information of the labs very accurately, and once I learned to make web pages. This expertice diversity helped us in making the job done fast and good. This is our first website and we are so proud of it.

How we did it:

Dr.Govindaswamy, our physics teacher organized everyone into groups with different subjects. We got Simple Harmonic Motion and started the lab. Chelsea and Megan gathered all the data, handed it to me, and gave me ideas on how to organize them. I decided to make the website so that people could learn and be aware of nature's science, which not a lot of people think about. We overcame some challenges, but brainstormed right through them. Overall, we thought we did a good job for our first site.

(From Left to Right)Chelsea, Edwin, and Megan.

Our coach, Dr Victor Govindaswamy (Dr G), the best teacher ever.

-I; Edwin, designer of this site, would like to give special thanks to Dr.G for teaching me to make web pages in the summer of 2007 in UT Arlington.
