We - a group of five students from Prince Henry’s High School, England - have been looking at ‘Magic’
However with Magic being such a broad and interesting subject, we have decided to narrow down our research into focusing particularly on witchcraft, and how it varies around the world throughout different countries and continents and how it has changed in the past.

With magic, as with many subjects, it is difficult to be able to differentiate from what is magic and what isn’t. An example of this is religious stories which can be interpreted by some people as magical or arising from witchcraft, but others believe are miracles or acts of god. Because of this we have decided to omit any religious based stories in the folktale section, and in our timeline.

To make it easy to navigate our site we have separated it into 3 categories, Global – or Magic around the World, Media – or Magical Fiction/Magic in Popular Culture and Magical Timeline. We have done this so you can view our information in different ways, a global perspective, and viewing people’s interpretation of magic in the media. There is also a ‘Zoo’ page, which our five favourite magical creatures, and some information about them.

Also if you visit the About Us section we have included information about our school and team and the kind of things we are interested in so you can discover more about our lives and how we put this site together.

We hope you enjoy our site and find out lots of things about Magic and Witchcraft. We have certainly enjoyed making it!
