There are many different professional skateboarders. Some are from different teams and sponsors, and some work together. Some pros are Paul Rodriguez, Rob Dyrdek, Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist, Colin McKay, and Ducky Lasek.
Paul Rodriquez is a pro skater, and skates for many sponsors such as; Plan B, Nike 6.0, Nike SB, and CCS. He has been competing in competitions for 13 years. He has never placed first but he has come in 3rd in the “Slam City Jam” and a street competition.
Rob Dyrdek is another pro. He skates for DC, Monster energy drink, CCS, Spy + (Spy Plus), and Independent. He has been a competitor for 8 years. He has competed in many competitions but has never placed in 1st place.
Tony Hawk is another pro skateboarder. He is probably the best skateboarder who has ever lived. He is 41 years old and still winning first place. He has placed 1st in over 13 competitions, and 2nd place when he didn’t place first. He has been skateboarding for 31 years. He even has his own Skateboarding company called “Birdhouse".
Bob Burnquist is also a pro skater. He has been a pro competitor for 20 years. He has won over 5 competitions, and was named "The best vert skater in 2000". He is sponsored by many companies, such as Hurley, Flip, and many others.
Buckey Lasek is a legendary skater. He has been competing proffesionally since 1989. He has won over 5 competitions as well. He is sponsored by Birdhouse, Independant Trucks, Billabong Clothing, Boneless Pads, and many other companies.
Colin McKay is also a very talented pro skater. Even though he only won 1 competition, he is still a very talented skateboarder. He has been a pro skater for 16 years. He is sponsored by DC, Bones, Plan B, Powell, Girl, and Chocolate. He came out in many of the Plan B videos and many others.
