  James Naismith

     Did you ever wonder who invented the game of basketball? Well let me enlighten you all about him. First in for most, the inventors name is James Naismith he was born in 1962. He invented the game of basketball in the year 1875.  He went to Bennie's Corners school near Almonte. His parents names were John Naismith and Margaret Young. His parents were not married but did stay in their relationship until they died. After the death of both of his parents in 1873, he lived with his Uncle Peter Young. He also went to a High School called Almonte High School. He dropped out of high school, and returned back 4 years later to complete it. He graduated high school in the year of 1888. when he first invented the game people thought that he wouldn't get anywhere with it(he invented it in the year 1875) when the game started to spread in the year of 1896 he then become very famous for the sport.
