Baboon Matters
Baboon matters was started in 1999. Its aim was to teach humans to understand & tolerate baboons, so that baboons & humans could live in harmony. over the past 10 years the conflict between baboons & humans has been reduced by keeping baboons out of the villages. Baboon matters employs men from masiphumelele who work as baboon monitors. These monitors have a close relation ship with the Chacma baboon troops. Baboon monitors keep the baboons away from human homes in the villages. Fund-rasing is a big part of baboon matters. They started the "Walk with the baboons Guided tour", which is a walk with the baboons in their home territory. It is an amazing experience. They started this to raise funds.
