When the baboon monitors are not around the baboons raid our village.
This is what we do to prevent the baboons from attacking and disturbing the school kids.
This is our Baboon drill:
When the baboons enter the school property the bell (siren) rings three times.
Foundation Phase (kindergarten) will move to their classes if they are outside.
The rest of the school will move to the hall if they are outside.
The teachers will meet their classes in the school hall.
The children are to remain calm and quiet.
The school will be secured by the prefects and the principal.
Once the baboons have left The school secretary will anounce it over the intercom.
Since the end of the second term of 2008 the baboons have been raiding our school for food. The teachers have made a rule that we are not allowed to eat outside. We are allowed to eat for fifteen minutes before break.
This helps prevent the baboons from raiding our school for food. It is for our own safety.
