On 15 October 1492, Christopher Columbus got from the Indians on the new continent he discovered, America, a gift that would change history.

 

The gift consists of dried tobacco leaves, whose consumption had dramatic effects. Shortly, sailors brought the plant in Europe.

 

This was the birth of one of the most controversial habits of the people - easy to adopt, and then very difficult to remove and banned from the routine. At first, tobacco was used as "medicine plant". It was mentioned that the treatment of diseases in 36 (not necessarily in the form of cigarette).
